Season’s Greetings

“The start of a New Year is always special. There is a feeling of renewal as we look to a new year, a new beginning and there is a sense of excitement for making changes or adopting new habits.

I want you to be successful at one goal, only one goal this year—and that is accomplishing one small goal you know you can accomplish. So start small. Make a promise and keep it…make a promise and keep it. And soon you will enlarge your strength, confidence and capabilities to discipline yourself to achieve other goals.

And if you carefully consider what you want to be said of you in the funeral experience, then you will find your own definition of success.

I wish you well on your journey in the New Year. You have the potential for greatness in you! Go for it! Start small. Make a promise and keep it. ”

Adapted from Stephen Richards Covey, 1932-2012

I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Chris

2012 taught me: That not everyone is meant to stay in your life for ever

This is what I just saw on FB, from 101 Powerful Affirmations…

Well that is true. We lost our Grand’Ma in 2012, she was 97. Even if this was not really unexpected, it’s been a strong shock for the full family indeed.

While looking for  some good statement for the new year, I also realized that Stephen Covey left us a couple of months ago. I got a hint from Reinhard S. in the early eighties about this great book – The 7 Habits of Highly Effective people. And it’s been a guidance every day since then…

Stephen said once “If you carefully consider what you want to be said of you in the funeral experience, then you will find your own definition of success.”.

Very true again.

All the best
Chris
